Filming for Game of Thrones season six may finish in a month but there’s still time to bag a role in the hit TV show according to a new casting call.

If you’re male, able to look rugged and have a Northern accent then HBO want you to get in touch to play one of two noblemen.

Fansite Watchers on the Wall broke the news of this notice, speculating that the latest role descriptions may offer more hints about the upcoming plot.

The first character, seemingly called ‘Boyce’, is described as a “callow young nobleman in his twenties who has been thrust into a position of power before he is ready”. This actor needs to be physically fit and able to play “hot-headed” convincingly.

The role involves some lines in a scene with leading cast members and is only required for one day, 16 December, in Northern Ireland.

Those beady-eyed folk at Watchers reckons this character is a Northern lord, possibly a new, younger Lord Cerwyn. Horrible Ramsay Bolton flayed the current lord after he failed to pay his taxes, so the family will be very angry indeed.

Second character ‘Fletcher’ is fat and in his sixties. He reportedly has a “stirring speech” in which he shifts political allegiances without warning, and has “distinctive rugged features and a distinguished air”.

Again, he is only needed on 16 December, probably for a meeting of the Northern Lords, and Watchers believe he can be no other than Wyman Manderly from George RR Martin’s fifth book, A Dance with Dragons.

Game of Thrones is expected to return in late spring next year.
