The 'Battle of the Bastards' didn’t disappoint, director Miguel Sapochnik helming yet another astounding episode in which justice was finally served to the terrible Ramsay Bolton.
However, before the battle took place, there was a touching scene between two unlikely allies that had viewers all excited.
Davos Seaworth and Tormund Giantsbane shared a very funny exchange about ‘demons’ in Stannis’s head, something Tormund takes at face value.
After talking about how both the men they loved - the men they believed in - were killed, they conclude Jon Snow’s “not a king” and Tormund invites Davos into his tent for a drink of sour goats milk.
Unfortunately, that doesn't do it for Davos, who needs to do some thinking and walking, so much so he’ll “sh*t his guts out”. “Happy sh*tting,” replies Torment, with a grin on his face.
It was a wonderful scene, full of bromance, with many Tweeters praying that - if they made it through the long battle (they did!) - a spin-off featuring the two may be in the works.
Some hope a romance may blossom between the two - however, Davos seems a bit of a sweetheart, not quite the bear Tormund’s used to. Still, it would be amazing if it happened.
So, now that the Davos/Tormund ship has set sail, the question is, how will Brienne feel? She never looked too keen anyway (Davos/Tormund all the way!).
Elsewhere in the episode, another romance was also teased, between Danny and Yara, something viewers were also quick to note.
