HBO has posted the official trailer for Game of Thrones season 6 episode 8 - 'No One' - and there's really quite a lot we can glean from it following the dramatic events of episode 7.

In King's Landing...

Cersei "chooses violence" i.e. a trial by combat, with The Mountain representing her and absolutely cleaning house, killing a bunch of Faith Militant followers (possibly including her relative and one-time paramour Lancel Lannister).

In Braavos...

Arya appears to have healed somewhat after being stabbed, and is seen leaping from a roof in pursuit of/while being pursued by the Waif.

In Riverrun...

Jaime enlists Brienne in trying to convince the Blackfish to surrender - but she is later seen sailing away from the stronghold and looking back at it mournfully. Podrick is seemingly kidnapped.

In Meereen...

Flames flicker above Tyrion's head, suggesting Daenerys and Drogon are in the building.

Somewhere in Westeros...

The Hound heads back to civilisation, beheading someone with the axe he picked up in episode 7 en route.

The official synopsis for episode 8 is as follows: 'Tyrion seeks a strange ally. Bran learns a great deal. Brienne goes on a mission. Arya is given a chance to prove herself.'

The above suggests Bran will get a flashback too huge to put in the trailer (potentially the Tower of Joy, though the young Ned Stark actor isn't due to appear again until episode 10), while the final sentence could point to Jaqen siding with Arya instead of the Waif in spite of her treachery.

'No One' airs next Sunday night, followed by the final two episodes, believed to be called 'The Battle of the Bastards' and 'The Winds of Winter'.

Review: Fewer simultaneous sub-plots makes for a better episode
