Not content with playing the most detestable character on television, Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon has decided to go the whole hog and play Adolf Hitler.

The actor - who plays Ramsay Bolton in the HBO fantasy series - will star as the Nazi in a TV film charting the tyrant to- be's attempts to enroll at the Vienna Academy of Fine Art in his younger years.

Chatting with The New York Times, Rheon told them he'll be playing "a young Hitler" in Adolf the Artist : before quipping: "Oh, I'm typecast already."

A satirical drama, the project co-stars Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint who will play Hitler's roommate Kubizek whose memoir, Adolf Hitler: My Childhood Friend, served as inspiration.

The project, directed by Dan Zeff (Lost in Austen) completed filming in Poland last year.

Beforehand, Welsh actor Rheon has the small case of Game of Thrones season 6 which will debut on HBO on the 24 April at 9pm.

The premiere episode will be simulcast in the UK on Sky Atlantic, at 2am on the 25 April, and then every Monday onwards for the remainder of the season.
