From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie are to return to television with a new, previously teased Flight of the Conchords HBO special to be released in May.

The network has confirmed one is on the way, but don't expect a new scripted thing like the series, the special will be a taping of one of their upcoming live shows in the UK.

The duo embark on their Flight of the Conchords Sing Flight of the Conchords Tour this spring, which will feature all of their classics along with some new material.

There has been immense interest in the tour, with tickets selling out in seconds and more dates having to be added.

Adapted from a successful radio show, Flight of the Conchords arrived on HBO in 2007.

It only ran for two seasons, but this was enough for it to gain a fierce cult following, especially in the UK where it was broadcast on BBC Two.
