The television shows that'll battle for the top prizes in Hollywood were announced by actor Keon Jeong and The Good Place star D'Arcy Carden on Tuesday.
Bodyguard is officially in the running for Outstanding Drama Series, along with Game of Thrones, Killing Eve, Ozark, Pose, Succession and This Is Us. Game of Thrones, which wrapped up in May, landed 32 nominations across all categories. Its stars Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington are also nominated in the Lead Actress/Actor in a Drama Series category.
Fleabag is also in a good position in the Emmys race with a total of 11 nominations. The show is nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, while Phoebe Waller-Bridge is up for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. The show performed well in the supporting and guest categories, with nominations for Sian Clifford, Olivia Colman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Fiona Shaw.
Veep emerged with nine nominations, including one in the Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category for Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The show is also up for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Killing Eve stars Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh are both nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama Series, while their castmate Fiona Shaw is up for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
