Game of Thrones has picked up the most Emmy Awards nominations this year with a massive 24, while American Horror Story: Freak Show and Olive Kitteridge follow with 19 and 13 nods respectively.

Other TV shows to be recognised in multiple categories include Bessie, House of Cards, Mad Men and Transparent while British period drama Downton Abbey earned eight nods.
