The estate of Willie Robertson, star of the US reality TV series Duck Dynasty, was targeted in a drive-by shooting on Friday 24 April.

In an interview with USA Today Network, Robertson said: "We were pretty shook up. It looks like they were just spraying bullets across my property."

The shooting occurred in broad daylight; none of Robertson's family, who were home at the time, sustained injuries.

Sadie Robertson Huff, daughter of Willie and co-star on Duck Dynasty, confirmed the news via Instagram.

"We had someone shoot at our property. Just wanted to say we are all okay. It shook us all up of course, but we are just so thankful everyone in our family is okay," she wrote.

"Especially after one of the bullets flew through the window of my brothers home... The timing of where we were at the time was crazy protection because we had all just gone inside."

Duck Dynasty airs on US network A&E, and follows the exploits of the Robertson family, who are known for their family business, Duck Commander, which sells hunting merchandise.

Robertson is an outspoken Christian and has previously featured at rallies championing Republican president Donald Trump.
