Also debuting in the series was Elodie Yung’s Elektra, a classic Daredevil character who acts as the blind hero’s love interest, partner, and adversary.
Last we saw of the character, the mysterious Hand were attempting to bring Elektra back to life having died saving Matt Murdock.
While many expected Elektra to be brought back for The Defenders, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed Elodie Yung will be back as the character.
In The Defenders, Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) will work together to defeat Sigourney Weaver’s as-yet unspecified villain.
Before the Avengers-style team-up hits Netflix later next year, Iron Fist will finally reach the streaming service in March, following on from the popular Luke Cage, released earlier this year.
