While the ABC dance competition has not officially announced any names, clues revealed on the DWTS Instagram have led many fans to surmise the talk show host is an all-but certain addition.
The Instagram account shared a series of posts titled “Guess the Star”, which used emojis to represent the mystery celebrities who will feature in the forthcoming season.
One of the posts featured a red-faced emoji, a car and a microphone. Fans believe that the latter two represent Corden’s popular Carpool Karaoke segment on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
One user wrote: “If the middle one is James Corden I will SCREAM”, with many others echoing the excited sentiment.
Fans of the show do not have to wait for long to have their suspicions confirmed, with the official cast scheduled to be revealed later today (Wednesday 2 September).
In July, it was announced that supermodel Tyra Banks will be taking over the role of host from Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.
Dancing with the Stars will air on ABC on 14 September.
