From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Larry David has insisted that Curb Your Enthusiasm isn't dead yet, telling HBO that he wants to make more episodes though he doesn't know exactly when.

Season 8 of the show finished airing back in 2011, and going on the show's previous chronology we should have seen a ninth two years later.

But 2013 came and went without more Curb, suggesting it might be done.

When he bumped into David at an event recently, HBO programming president Michael Lombardo decided to quiz the comedian on the matter.

“I said, ‘So, David, should I emotionally get Curb out of my head?’ And he goes, ‘No, no, no, no, no.'" he told reporters today.

David has been tied up with film work lately (including the very Curb-like TV movie Clear History), but HBO is willing to be patient.

"As long as he’s thinking about it, we still have a place for it," Lombardo said.
