Luca Franzese, an Italian actor who has appeared in the TV series Gomorrah, has posted a video on Facebook saying he is trapped in his house with the body of his dead sister after she was infected with coronavirus.

The Naples resident is in self-isolation after being exposed to the disease. His sister’s body had reportedly been in the house for more than 24 hours, with Franzese complaining that he had not received help from the authorities.

In one of a series of videos, Franzese says: ”My sister died yesterday, probably because of the virus, and I’ve been waiting for answers since last night.”

“We are ruined. Italy has abandoned us. Let’s stay strong together. Please share this video everywhere.”

In one of the videos, his sister’s body can be seen in the background.

According to her brother, Teresa Franzese had suffered from epilepsy.

Franzese said that three more members of his family had tested positive for the virus.

Italy is currently in lockdown and is the second-worst affected by the virus in the world, after China, where the coronavirus originated.

Italian news website Open posted an update about the situation, confirming that a local politician had been in contact with Franzese after the first video was posted, and had located a funeral home for the body.
