From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Netflix users are demanding answers following a huge Cobra Kai cliffhanger.

The series, a Karate Kid sequel featuring original lead star Ralph Macchio, arrived on the streaming service last month, and immediately shot to the top of its most watched charts.

Viewers who tore through the two available seasons have been left wanting more due to its climactic events.

The biggest mystery surrounds the fate of a character named Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña), who was shown in hospital after a big fall in the season two finale.

In the episode, titled “No Mercy”, a karate fight sees members of two warring tribes face off, which ends with Miguel getting kicked over a set of railings by Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan).

The last viewers see of Miguel is when he is unconscious on a life support machine.

While many were left wondering whether Miguel will return in season three, others used their detective skills to discover that this actually seems extremely likely.

In November 2019, Maridueña tweeted that he was excited to return for the show’s third season.

It seems Miguel lives to fight another day.

Cobra Kai is available to stream on Netflix now.
