A lawyer for the Flack family confirmed on Saturday (15 February) that Caroline took her own life and was found in her east London home.
The Surjury, which sees members of the public attempting to convince a specially selected panel that they need plastic surgery, was set to air later this year.
A spokesperson for Channel 4 told Metro: “We are shocked and saddened to hear the tragic news about Caroline Flack. Our deepest sympathies go out to Caroline's family and friends. Under the circumstances, we have decided not to broadcast The Surjury.”
People have been making calls on social media for Love Island to be axed permanently.
Former Love Island contestants and other reality stars have been remembering Flack on Twitter.
Flack left Love Island before the current series, after allegations of assault against her boyfriend Lewis Burton, which she denied. She had been due to face trial over the allegations in March.
She entered a not guilty plea at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court in December. The two had been forbidden from seeing each other as proceedings continued.
On Saturday, Flack’s management criticised the Crown Prosecution Service for pressing ahead with her “show trial” even after Burton said he did not support it.
