From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Plot details are currently sparse but check back tomorrow where we will be unveiling the episode's first full trailer, and again on Monday for our interview with showrunner Charlie Brooker.
Executive producer Annabel Jones recently teased the “unrelenting” episode to The Independent, saying: ‘Black Museum’ is absolute popcorn. It’s three stories in one – a portmanteau-type thing – but absolutely full of ideas that whip along and before you know it you’re at the end of a 90-minute film and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, can you please stop? This is horrendous – stop throwing me these things!' It’s just unrelenting.“
The streaming service is building to a surprise for fans with '13 Days of Black Mirror' which has already seen artwork and trailers released for two other episodes: the Jodie Foster-directed 'Arkangel' and 'Crocodile.'
Black Mirror season 4 is out later this year (date TBC).
