The sixth season of Better Call Saul will make viewers see Breaking Bad “in a different light”, according to star Bob Odenkirk.
The spin-off series focuses on former con artist Jimmy McGill as he becomes his professional alias Saul Goodman, a morally challenged criminal lawyer who later plays a major role in Breaking Bad.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Odenkirk revealed that he has been told by the show’s co-creator Peter Gould that the series’ final season will cause viewers to view its successor in a “different light”.
“I’ve been told by Peter Gould that when Better Call Saul wraps up, everyone will see Breaking Bad in a different light,” he said.
The actor added: “I don’t know specifics beyond that, except that he knows what happens throughout this whole season of Saul and I don’t.

“But I think there are more amazing things to come that will comment on or inform the actual incidents of Breaking Bad in a surprising way.”
This is not the first time that a game-changing sixth series has been hinted at.
In August last year, Gould told The Hollywood Reporter that the show’s final season will allow fans to “learn things about the characters in Breaking Bad that we didn’t know. We’re going to learn things about the events of Breaking Bad that we didn’t know”.
There are multiple storylines, as well as characters, that have crossed from Better Call Saul into Breaking Bad besides the protagonist.
Characters such as Hank Schrader, Gus Fring, Steven Gomez, Victor, Tyrus Kitt and Mike Ehrmantraut also feature in both series.

Fans of the show were excited when Bryan Cranston, who played drug kingpin Walter White in Breaking Bad, said he would be keen to reprise his iconic role in Better Call Saul last year.
The sixth and final instalment of Better Call Saul was due to air in early 2021, however, filming was postponed due to the pandemic.
