Nineteen men and women initially came forward with allegations against Kreisberg, who acts as an executive producer on Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow.
Variety initially reported the accusations, which included allegations of inappropriate touching over several years, kissing women without consent, and asking female staff for massages.
Melissa Benoist, who plays the titular character on Supergirl, offered a statement after the article was published. “Sadly, the show and my career are part of an industry that doesn’t always mirror these sentiments,” referring to equality, feminism, empowerment and fighting for what is right.
Emily Bett Rickards of the show Arrow also posted a statement, blasting men who “turn a blind eye” to harassment but praising women who found the strength to speak out.
Warner Bros. — who have launched an investigation into Kreisberg following his suspension — also offered a statement, saying: ”We take all allegations of misconduct extremely seriously, and are committed to creating a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.”
Kreisberg has denied the allegations, saying: "I have made comments on women’s appearances and clothes in my capacity as an executive producer, but they were not sexualized.”
The accusations come amidst a wave of allegations made against various Hollywood persons, including Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, and James Toback.
