I must confess to being a bit of an Adele sceptic, but I can’t deny that having her in the passenger seat of your car belting out ballads would be a great way to pass time during a traffic jam.
She may be following Stevie Wonder, Justin Bieber and more in The Late Late Show with James Corden’s recurring segment, but she’s billed as ‘the biggest star in the world’ in the teaser for it, which sees the pair cruising through rainy london, chatting and singing along to her tracks.
They kick off with ‘Hello’ before moving into ‘Rolling in the Deep’, and Adele is pitch perfect, even adding in an extra dash of melisma to her tracks.
They also get talking about Adele’s hair, with the singer asking: “I can’t work out if I should wear a wig wig or a weave?”
“I mean what I like is that you’re coming to me for this advice,” Corden replies.
The full Carpool Karaoke will air on CBS on Wednesday night.
