A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2 featurette reveals Count Olaf's disguises
Whether doctor, herpetologist, auctioneer, sailor, detective, or receptionist - he's never convincing
Count Olaf: certainly a devious villain, but a master of disguise?
Certainly, he's never fooled the clever, curious Baudelaire orphans (Violet, Klaus, and Sunny), but as Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events shows, that can't be said for those put in charge of keeping them safe from his sinister grip.
As season 1 revealed, Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) will stop at nothing to get his hands on the Baudelaire fortune, following the deaths of their parents in a mysterious fire.
On their trail, wherever they may go, the villain draws from his experience as a self-labelled thespian to conjure up a range of disguises: doctor, herpetologist, auctioneer, sailor, detective, and receptionist. You can check out all of his disguises below - except for Austere Academy's Coach Genghis, who is yet to be revealed.
Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events: Count Olaf's Disguises
Show all 7
While the first season, taking inspiration from the 13 books penned by Lemony Snicket (in reality, Daniel Handler), adapted The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, The Wide Window, and The Miserable Mill; season 2 will tackle The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, The Hostile Hospital, and The Carnivorous Carnival.
The show's already been renewed for season 3, its final one, so fans should be assured Netflix is intent on adapting the entire series (unlike a certain film studio).
A Series of Unfortunate Events hits Netflix on 30 March.
