From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Ryan Murphy, the creator of Glee, was at the hit show's Comic-Con panel on Sunday with members of the cast, and he let the audience know of the switch in direction the show will take for the second season.

The second season will be more intimate, he said, with more time dedicated to the characters, such as Artie (Kevin McHale) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), who were at the presentation to answer questions along with Amber Riley who plays Mercedes and Chris Colfer who plays Kurt.

There will be another Madonna tribute episode and a "hallucinogenic" episode devoted to Britney Spears, despite Mr. Schuester's objections, featuring character Brittany (Heather Morris), a Cheerio or cheerleader.

Murphy also unveiled the idea for a Rocky Horror Picture Show-themed show during season two, so audiences can expect a "Timewarp" number. But overall, the show plans for fewer musical numbers - down from eight to five per show.

More relationships will break up and new ones will emerge, including Kurt getting a boyfriend and possibly Brittany and Santana, per fans' suggestions. More family members will appear including Rachel's gay dads, Artie's mom and Brittany's smart sister.

The show returns to US television on September 21.
