Trailer for Line Of Duty season 6 finale

The teaser trailer for Line of Duty’s series finale has been released.

*Major spoilers ahead – you have been warned*

After an explosive episode in which Detective Superintendent Joanne Davidson (Kelly Macdonald) was interviewed by AC-12 and Marcus Thurwell appears to have been found dead in Spain, there’s just one episode of this series of Line of Duty left.

In a new trailer for the final episode released on Monday (26 April) afternoon, Davidson is in handcuffs in prison after being charged with perverting the course of justice and malfeasance in a public office.

However, she is later shown to be being transported in a police van, asking: “What’s going on?” as her guards look on.

Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) and Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) are seen once again looking over the clue that H cannot spell the word “definitely”.

Fans were quick to point out earlier in the series that Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) also spells the word “definately”, suggesting that he could have further links to the organised crime group or even be H.

The trailer also shows Hastings telling his officers: “AFOs (Authorised Firearms Officers) will secure the suspect,” with Arnott and Fleming facing off against the OCG once more.

“Every investigation has led to this,” the trailer reads, with the prominent letter “H” suggesting that the criminal leader’s identity is finally going to be revealed.

The Line of Duty series finale will run for a longer 90 minute episode and air next Sunday.

Line of Duty series six concludes Sunday 2 May at 9pm on BBC One.
