Your support makes all the difference.Grammy and Tony winners have appeared on the first season of television hit show Glee, and for its second season, Oscar winner Javier Bardem ( No Country For Old Men) plans to guest star on the musical comedy.
A fan of Glee, the Spanish actor suggested the idea of his appearance to writer/producer and director, Ryan Murphy, when on the set of Eat Pray Love. Murphy directed and Bardem co-stars with Julia Roberts.
During the upcoming season on Glee, he will play a rock star who befriends Artie (Kevin McHale), a guitar player and paraplegic on the show.
Though Bardem turned down the starring role in the musical Nine due to nerves, he's excited about performing on Glee. "We're going to rock the house," Bardem told Entertainment Weekly. "We're going to do some heavy metal - Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst."
Bardem will be seen in Eat Pray Love, the story of a woman on a round-the-world quest, in theaters August 13. He also stars in the critically acclaimed Biutiful which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and releases this fall.
