McFly star Tom Fletcher led the reactions last night (Friday 4 December) after his wife, Giovanna Fletcher, won this year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Giovanna, an author, actor and podcast presenter, was crowned the first-ever Queen of the Castle after going through a gruelling round of trials at the castle in north Wales.

The couple’s six-year-old son, Buzz, featured in Tom’s Instagram Stories as the pair watched Giovanna compete in the final.

As Tom filmed them watching the announcement, a delighted Buzz was heard saying: “Mummy won!”

On Twitter, Tom wrote: “YEEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!! Thanks SO much for voting and supporting @MrsGiFletcher from the very beginning.”

He added: “She’s always been our queen but now she has a crown to prove it! Now I just have to explain to the kids that this doesn’t mean we’re moving into the castle...”

Tom is no stranger to I’m a Celebrity, having previously made a guest appearance dressed as a gorilla whom his bandmate, Dougie Poynter, was allowed to ask five questions. Poynter won the series in 2011.

Giovanna beat fellow contestant, radio presenter Jordan North, to be named the show’s first ever Queen of the Castle.

TV presenter Vernon Kay was the last campmate to be eliminated from the competition as he finished in third place.
