One question on everybody’s lips during the latest episode of Game of Thrones season eight involved the age of Arya Stark.
The second outing of the HBO series’ final season saw the character, played by Maisie Williams, have her very first sex scene.
Arya lost her virginity to Gendry (Joe Dempsie), telling him she “wants to know what it feels like” before they potentially die during the battle against the Night King.
But, viewers were left questioning Arya’s age on Twitter. For those who don’t know, she’s 18. Williams is 22, the age fans think Gendry is supposed to be in the series.
Ahead of the episode, titled “Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”, HBO seemed to predict this particular issue. Its official Twitter account posted a message highlighting the fact she’s 18.
Williams herself has addressed the scene in question, revealing that she thought its inclusion in the script was initially a prank being played on her by showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Arya was almost part of an incestuous relationship that’s impossible to comprehend.
