This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

Game of Thrones fever has almost certainly reached its peak with the arrival of season six, the premiere episode of which has now been seen by die-hard fans who set their alarms to watch the live simulcast along with US viewers.

It should be remembered though that casual fans still do exist and they're probably struggling to remember what happened in the season five finale let alone the previous five seasons.

Fret not, because the above video from GamesRadar handily recounts all the key details you need to remember going into the HBO series' sixth season.

If anything, it's just nice to catch up with the show's many long-deceased characters; lest we forget you, Ned.

For those of you who don't care about spoilers - or have seen the episode and need to discover a fellow viewer's opinion - you can read our season 6 premiere recap here.

Otherwise, Game of Thrones will air on Sky Atlantic tonight at 9pm.
