The Oliviers are voted for by four separate panels for theatre, opera, dance and Affiliate.
The majority of awards fall in the theatre category, which is voted for by five anonymous members chosen with specialist knowledge and eight members of the theatregoing public.
A production has to run for a minimum of 30 performances to be eligible for a nomination at the Oliviers.
