The French ballerina Sylvie Guillem is one of dance's biggest stars, known for her headstrong charisma and the extreme lines of her long, elegant limbs.
In 6000 Miles Away, she devises her own programme, choosing and commissioning works from three of her favourite choreographers. Rearray, the fourth work William Forsythe has created for Guillem, is a duet danced with Massimo Murru, principal of the ballet of La Scala.
The solo Ajö (Bye), by Mats Ek, shows Guillem as a woman moving into a new phase of her life. The programme also includes Jirí Kylián's 27'52", danced by Aurélie Cayla and Lukás Timulák.
