Hallowe'en Ball at the Mean Fiddler 28a High Street, Harlesdon, NW10 (0181 961 5490). Gothic give-aways, dead good club classics and free entry if you're dressed up. 31 Oct, 9.30pm-2am; pounds 3.

Circus Space Cabaret Union Chapel, Upper St, Islington, (0171 613 4141). Demonic stuff in a gothic chapel. Come in fancy dress. 2 Nov, 8.30pm-11.30pm; pounds 9.50 pounds 7.50 concs.

Cabbage Patch at RAW 112a Great Russell St, WC1 (436 1903). Dry ice, cobwebs and fortune tellers at the indie/retro haunt. pounds 100 prize for the best fancy dress. 31 Oct, 10.30pm-3am; pounds 4.

Hallowe'en night at NATO, Boar Lane, Leeds (0113 246 8287). Ultra-trendy club goes OTT with ghoulish music, red blood drinks and dangly spiders. 31 Oct, 9pm-2am; pounds 4.

Fright Night at Chessington World of Adventures Chessington, Surrey (01372 727227). Spine-tingling rides in the dark, with music, lasers and the Big City Circus. Okay, so it's not the Hacienda but it might be a laugh. 27 Oct, 2 & 3 Nov, 5pm-9pm; adults pounds 8.50, children pounds 6.75.
