THE TRACKERS OF OXYRHYNCHUS, Tony Harrison's (below) reworking of a fragmentary satyr play by Sophocles, gets a stirring revival at the hands of Northern Broadsides. Barry Rutter and crew wiggle their foam phalluses and stomp their clogs with glee to Harrison's earthy rhythms, while the turn-of-the-century framing device sets up thought-provoking class and culture clashes.

West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds (0113 213 7700) 7.30pm

Her Alabaster Skin by Nick Green is an ideal play to catch on a boozy Friday night. Despite some structural defects, this spiralling thriller about a loner who is victimised by invasively polite staff from the restaurant upstairs provides a scabrous portrait of unfeeling masculinity.

Etcetera Theatre, London NW1 (0171-482 4857) 7.30pm
