From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Tickets for the 41st annual Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts 2010 in Pilton, England, sold out at GlastonburyRegistration.co.uk within 12 hours of going on sale October 4, according to organizers.

Pre-registration at the site was necessary to purchase tickets, involving concertgoers providing personal details along with a photograph to be imprinted on nontransferable tickets for next year's festival. Pre-registration did not guarantee them tickets on Sunday, but ticket purchasing was absolutely impossible without prior registration.

Glastonbury 2010 will take place June 23-27, 2010. A headlining act for next year's Glastonbury was booked seven months ago in February, but organizers are keeping their choice secret until next year. The 40th annual Glastonbury concluded on June 28.

Pre-registration will re-open on October 12 for another round of sales taking place early next year, which will be tickets from all cancelled orders.
