From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Peace's latest album Kindness is The New Rock and Roll is a record brimming with sure fire future festival favourites, and opener "1998 (Delicious)" does exactly what it says on the tin; serving as a tasty, seductive appetiser for the night ahead.

New single "Power" demonstrate lead singer Harry Koisser's ability to capture the splendid imagery of the opening line: “ Hey wake up and smell the lavender, and my flower power technicolour massacre”, backed on vocals by an explosive drum beat.

Another gem comes in the form of "Silverlined", an emphatic ballad that impresses with an epic mid song guitar solo. A highly polished rendition of Leonard Cohen’s classic "Hallelujah" is a bold move that pays off massively with the crowd, while their own "You Don’t Walk Away From Love" sends Kentish Town Forum absolutely berserk.

The gorgeous ambience of "California Daze" from their debut record is still utterly fresh. Closing song "Bloodshake" erupts, the chorus sung in sheer ecstasy - closing off the night with one brilliant climax.
