Silvester hasn't really made a name for himself yet, purely because he hasn't been able to pick one. Having released 20-odd EPs under nearly as many names, he's now settled on his own for his debut album. It keeps up a pretty steady tech-house rhythm but never settles into any one groove, so there are moments where things don't quite gel. But he gets it right more often than not. The filtered French sound of Remember Me and the hypnotic 2-Step of And On and On stand out, and best of all is Monkey which blends house rhythms with dub textures and gets the best out of both. Remember Tom's name; you might start hearing it more often.
