Album: Spektor, Enjoy it While it Lasts (Fiction)
Spector are the band you'd get if you fed the Killers, Keane and the Strokes into a blender. (In itself, not a terrible idea.)
Led by sometime MTV2 presenter Freddie MacPherson, the London quintet specialise in a straightahead indie shudder which, I swear, even remains in the same key throughout. They never startle, sticking carefully to boy-girl rhymes delivered with heavy Brandon Flowers echo. Landfill indie? This one needs dumping at sea.
