Album: Moreland & Arbuckle, Seven Cities (Telarc)
Coarse, rocking garage blues by three young white blokes with facial hair, recorded in Seattle, suitably enough.
A sort of grunge ZZ Top with a theme to explore: what it means to lust after riches and power. To which end the artwork features a Spanish morion languishing on the Kansas prairie and they cover "Everbody Wants to Rule the World". Never mind. The riffage is thunderous and their underpinnings rock-solider than on previous efforts.
