Bennett, a piper/fiddler and studio wizard, died six years ago of cancer.
He described himself as a "dreadlocked funkster", and you can't say fairer than that on the evidence in this retrospective, which explores Scots folk melody's affinities with Middle-Eastern texture and bangin' techno. Actually, you can say fairer than that: by and large this isn't funky music, but it is danceable, atmospheric, highly musical and occasionally rather beautiful.
