According to the Broward County Sheriff's Office, surveillance footage outside of a Deerfield Beach motorcycle shop showed Robert Allen shortly before X, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was shot dead.
Authorities stated that Allen has a previous record in Broward County, including an arrest from 2016 for 22 counts of ID fraud.
When X was murdered, he was on probation for that crime.
"Right now, they are hoping that he will come in and talk to them and share what he knows," Broward County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright said.
On Thursday, 22-year-old Dedrick Williams was arrested on charges of first-degree murder and grand theft auto.
Since then, TMZ reported that a judge had signed arrest warrants for two additional suspects.
According to Onfroy's lawyer, detectives are investigating a "random robbery."
X had been leaving a motorcycle store in Deerfield Beach, Florida when he was approached by two armed suspects and shot, says the Broward County Sheriff Office.
On Wednesday a public memorial for X with an open-casket viewing was held at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida.
