This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

The Independent is trusted by 27 million Americans from across the entire political spectrum every month. Unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock you out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. But quality journalism must still be paid for.

Field Day has returned to London’s Victoria Park with a host of headline acts across eight stages – and don't worry if you missed out on a ticket because London Live will be broadcasting live so you catch all the action from home.

Running from Saturday morning until 11pm on Saturday, and then 1pm to 10.30pm on Sunday, the mini-festival has Patti Smith, FKA Twigs and Caribou performing over the coming two days.

Watch online from 6pm Sunday

Field Day is running two street food markets (naturally of the organic and fairtrade, hipster-friendly, variety) where you can sample food from 50 different stalls. Festival goers can sample foods from Filipino dishes (Kusina Nova) to traditional American mac’n’cheese (Anna Mae’s mac’n’cheese) to Mexican street food (Luardos).

You can also catch some old school eating competitions, village green races (highlights include an egg and spoon race) and traditional tombola.

You can see the full schedule and line-up here.

London Live's coverage begins with Live from London: Field Day 2015 on Sunday at 6pm. Watch it online or on Freeview channel 8, Sky 117, Virgin 159 and YouView 8.
