Your support makes all the difference.It’s no wonder Victoria Beckham decided against pursuing a career as a solo singer after only one post-Spice Girls album.
According to the fashion designer, when the girl group used to play together, they would turn off her microphone because her voice wasn’t up to the other girl's standard.
“They used to turn [my mic] off and just let the others sing,” Beckham said during a talk at the National Portrait Gallery.
“Luckily because I used to wear heels, I just used to jig about a bit and I got away with it, but it never came easily. I was always much more reserved than the other girls.”
After the Spice Girls finished, each of the other members - Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, and Melanie Chisholm - put out multiple solo albums.
In a recent interview, Mel B hinted at a reunion tour to celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary. The singer said it would be "rude not to celebrate" the anniversary of their chart-topping debut single "Wannabe", adding "hopefully something will be happening pretty soon”.
The Spice Girls last reunited for a short performance at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Their 2007-8 reunion tour "The Return of the Spice Girls" included a 17-night run of shows at London's O2 Arena.
