At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. They claimed to be discovered by a Warner Bros A&R while singing on their tea break, when they worked as decorators in a shop near Oxford Street in London.
Their debut album Good Ol' Fashioned Love reached No.16 in the UK albums chart on its release in 2010, but later peaked at No.4 when it was reissued in March 2011. To date it has sold more than 500,000 copies.
