The X Factor has landed Coldplay as the performers for its upcoming final.
The ITV taken show will be heading to Wembley Arena this year, for a crescendo taking place live across 12 and 13 December.
It’s a smart move by the band, who release their new album A Head Full Of Dreams on 4 December, and they’re expected to perform their new single from the LP, ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’.

Coldplay will embark on a world tour next year, their first in three years.
"I think that not going on tour with [2014 album] 'Ghost Stories' was one of the best decisions we ever made, because it gave us such pent-up energy in the studio and completely reignited everyone’s desire to go around the world and play music,” Chris Martin said.
“A Head Full Of Dreams was written as a record to be performed live. We can’t wait to do that."
Their UK dates will be as follows (you can buy tickets here):
Manchester Etihad Stadium (June 4)
Glasgow Hampden Park (June 7)
Wembley Stadium (June 16,18,19)
