From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Spotify has unveiled this year's music feature designed to prepare you for the summer ahead.

"Summer Rewind" is a personalised playlist compiled of your favourite songs from previous years.

It's pulled together from the 50 songs you streamed most every summer since 2017 or whenever you first subscribed to the music service.

As well as treating you to the playlist, Spotify will test you on how well you know yourself, making you guess your top-played artist, song and genre from summers past.

As a reward, you’ll get a playlist collecting together all your top tracks from the sunny months – a pretty fail-safe choice if you’re suddenly too lazy to put together one for that garden party you're hosting.

All of those revelations can be accessed simply by visiting the dedicated website here and logging in with your Spotify account.

This feature follows in the footsteps of "Spotify Wrapped", a playlist compiled of your most streamed songs of the year.
