Slipknot tour 2020: How to get tickets
Tour will be in support of the band’s new album We Are Not Your Kind
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Slipknot have announced their UK tour dates for January 2020, which will take in cities including London, Birmingham, Newcastle and Dublin.
The tour will be in support of the band's new album We Are Not Your Kind, which was released this month to rave reviews.
Polish metal band Behemoth will support Slipknot on all UK dates.
One individual who won't be happy about the dates is the band's percussionist Clown, who griped to The Independent this month that he had “always wanted to tour Europe when it’s not cold. But we always go in February, so I can’t walk around Greece and Italy and London and not be freezing my ass off. My whole career in Europe has been in winter. It’s the same bulls**t”.
Tickets for the tour will go on-sale to the general public starting on Friday, 30 August at 9am at Live Nation UK for UK tickets and Ticketmaster IE for Dublin.
Pre-order tickets are available to Slipknot’s OutsideTheNine fan club members from 9am on Tuesday, 27 August.
Pre-order tickets are also available to those who pre-ordered We Are Not Your Kind from the Roadrunner Store from 11am on Tuesday, 27 August.
Frontman Corey Taylor said in a statement: “It feels good to be coming back for an extensive tour of Europe and the UK. No matter how many times we come there, it always feels like we can never get enough, nor play all the cities we want to. But one thing’s for certain: the audiences are always some of the best in the world.”

2) Do not let your computer, phone or whatever device holds the key to your happiness run out of battery.

4) Check how many tickets you are allowed to buy in one purchase. If you try to buy more than the limited number, your booking may be cancelled without notice, meaning no-one gets to go.
5) Get your friends to try too, but stay in contact in case you all succeed and end up with a bunch of tickets you didn’t want. If you do need to sell any on, do so at face value. No-one likes a tout.
6) Be patient and avoid refreshing or switching between browsers. Stick with one tab and have some faith! Be prepared to wait for an hour to get tickets
