At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Your support makes all the difference.Sam Smith’s James Bond theme song for Spectre hit Spotify earlier this week to a mixed reception. While some thought it was great, others couldn’t comprehend why film makers chose Smith and yearned for a Shirley Bassey version.
‘The Writing’s On The Wall’ is set to be the first ever Bond song to hit number one in the UK charts, and to accompany it will, of course, be a music video.
Smith has posted a 15 second teaser clip from the video, featuring the singer walking in from the right in a black suit, stopping in the middle of the screen in front of coffins bearing the Union Jack, and pouting for the remainder of the video. Watch below.
There is no release date for the full music video but it will most likely be out within the next few days. Listen to the full song below.
Spectre is set for UK release on 26 October. Daniel Craig returns to his starring role, alongside new faces Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci, Ralph Fiennes and Lea Seydoux.
