Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Radiohead have announced a world tour consisting of at least 22 dates in 11 countries, expected to coincide with the release of their still officially unannounced new album.

Thom Yorke and co will hit the road between May and October, taking in shows at the Primavera Sound, Osheaga and Summer Sonic festivals and playing three nights at London’s fairly intimate Roundhouse.

“These are all the headline shows that the band will play in 2016,” they said in a statement, though more festivals may follow.

Tickets for several of the gigs are on sale now, the rest will hit on 18 March.

“To minimise secondary ticketing and to give more fans a chance to buy a ticket at its intended price, restrictions will apply, including a limit of 2 tickets per order on all shows,” they added.

We still don’t know much about their ninth album, the follow-up to 2011’s The King of Limbs, but we’ve been expecting it since October when band members set up a new company called Dawn Chorus LLP - something they usually do ahead of a big release.
