Music festival Pitchfork Paris has made its first line-up announcement for 2019 – with Belle & Sebastian, Charli XCX, Skepta, Mura Masa and Hamza set to lead an array of musical acts.

The festival, which runs from 31 October to 2 November this year at Le Grande Halle de la Villette, is also set to add two new stages. These willl focus on bringing in even more up-and-coming talent.

Notable line-up additions also include the return of the Chromatics – who have not played a French show since 2012 – Canadian electronic band Desire, as well as grime-garage rapper talents slowthai and Kojey Radical.

Over 50 acts are to set to perform, with the festival celebrating its ninth year since it was founded. A ball pool, a roller disco, a collection of fairground rides and a pop-up independent record store will also be on offer for festival goers’ amusement and perusal.

Other acts slated to appear at the festival include French rapping talent Ateyaba, modern jazz artists Ezra Collective and Yussef Dayes, experimental folk musician Weyes Blood and blues and jazz singer Celeste.

Skepta recently released his fifth album Ignorance Is Bliss, while Charli XCX’s latest record is due to drop later this summer.
