Paramore have pulled out of two consecutive shows from their 34-date Momentour tour of the US with Fall Out Boy, due to vocalist Hayley Williams’s illness.

A chest infection and ‘general exhaustion’ prevented Williams and her band from performing at Texas shows in Corpus Christi and Dallas earlier this week.

Fall Out Boy and opening band New Politics still performed at these shows on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th August, with an extended set played by Fall Out Boy.

Williams voiced her disappointment with a message from her bunk - “Words in this tiny little message cannot begin to express my frustration, sadness, and overall loopiness.”

“I absolutely hate cancelling anything. Admitting defeat is a tough thing for this gal.”

However, the band are due back on the road today (Thursday 7th), to resume the tour tonight in Albuquerque, New Mexico and are not planning on missing any more tour dates.

They are also still due to co-headline the Reading and Leeds Festival 2014 with Queens of the Stone Age later this month, with no plans of cancellation. These dates will be their only UK performances of this year.
