From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Nicki Minaj has dropped the video for her latest single "Bed" - with a little help from frequent collaborator Ariana Grande.
With a clearly headlined "summer jam" of a track, the beach-based video even sees Minaj briefly transformed into a mermaid, as she poses amongst the waves and amongst the sheets.
She's joined here by Grande, with the duo having a fairly long history of working together: after both appearing on Jessie J's "Bang Bang", Ariana then went on to guest on Minaj's "Get On Your Knees", Minaj appeared on Grande's "Side to Side", then again on the pop star's latest track, "The Light is Coming".
However, this doesn't appear to be the only edit of the video in existence. On Twitter, Minaj noted: "One more thing; there r 2 #BedVideo edits, as there were 2 directors involved."
"You’ll see the first today. also, it won’t be on vevo for like another 24 hours. You’ll see it on YouTube until then. I’ll prob release the other edit in a week. Idk.”
"Bed" is set to feature on Minaj's fourth studio album Queen, set to drop on 10 August. It's the third single released, after "Rich Sex" (featuring Lil Wayne) and "Chun-Li".
