From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Organizers of the Roskilde Festival in Denmark have announced that British rock band Muse will perform at the 2010 festival, scheduled for July 1-4. Muse joins a lineup that so far includes American punk rock band NOFX and Danish acts The Kissaway Trail, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, and C.J. Jørgensen.

Muse performed at the 2009 festival and was, according to organizers, one of the most requested acts by fans to return in 2010. The band's show at Roskilde will be part of a festival tour that so far includes visit to Germany and Portugal.

Because the Roskilde Festival is scheduled just one week after the Glastonbury Festival in England, the announcement fuels speculation that Muse may perform at Glastonbury as well.

Muse's most recent album, The Resistance, topped album charts in 19 countries and reached number three in the US. The band is known for its live shows and has earned praise from magazines like Rolling Stone and NME, the Q Awards, and the BRIT Awards as one of the best live bands currently performing.

The Roskilde Festival is one of the biggest in Europe, attracting more than 80,000 concertgoers annually. Begun in 1971, it began as a hippie-oriented event but has since begun to attract a more mainstream mix of music and attendees.

The 2010 festival will take place from Thursday, July 1, to Sunday, July 4, with the campground opening for warm-up events that run from June 27 until the start of the festival.

Tickets for the 2010 festival are currently on sale. A €275-ticket includes camping and access to events for the entire week.
