She refers to the ongoing crisis in the song: "Lift up your people/From Texas to Puerto Rico/Dem islands to Mexico."
She also sings: "I can be a beast or I can give you emotion/But please don't question my devotion/I be giving birth on these haters 'cause I'm fertile."
The original version of "Mi Gente" saw a collaboration between Colombian singer Balvin with French artist/producer Williams.
It was originally released in June and ended the mammoth 14-week reign of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" on Spotify's Global Chart.
Beyonce wrote on her Instagram page: "I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean islands."
