At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

After performing Little Mix’s newest single “Holiday” on Live Lounge, and just before they were due to sing a cover of Harry Styles’s “Falling”, Nelson could be seen in a video recording holding her hands up to show how much she was shaking, before her bandmates rushed over to offer comfort.
They stood with Nelson for a few moments as she focussed on her breathing and the radio station cut to another song.
Sharing footage of their rehearsals, Nelson told fans on Instagram: "So my nerves got the better of me today. I had panic attack right before we were about to sing this for live lounge today and like a pro @perrieedwards jumped in for my part last minute and smashed it.”
Fans posted screenshots of the moment on Twitter, with one person writing: “It's the way the girls immediately went to comfort Jesy, bless her, so proud of Jesy, I hope she knows how loved she is and how amazing she is.”
Last year, Nelson said she attempted to take her own life after abuse from online trolls.
She opened up about her struggles in BBC One documentary Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out, saying she became almost “obsessed” with reading negative comments about herself after she found fame on the X Factor in 2011.
